In December 2010, the Global Chalkboard Project is a network of people committed to improving the quality of education and health of children. We accomplish this goal by creating sister school connections between schools in the United States and schools in crisis areas. We enable children to help children. By doing this we help cconnect children across the wolrd so they can be globally informed, generous and committed to the well-being of others.

Our current project is the sister school relationship between the Institution Mixte Victor Hugo in Gonaives, Haiti and the Lafayette Elementary School in Lafayette, California.

When you support the Global Chalkboard project you help impoverished families and communities in Haiti break down the barriers that hold back not only children but the larger Haitian society.

We plan to raise $5000 by November in order to keep the Victor Hugo School (Institution Mixte Victor Hugo) in the Gonaives area of Haiti open and running for the coming school year and keep 72 or more children on the road to higher education and the ability to support and improve their own community.

We promise to keep you updated on our progress and the progress of the school with monthly reports.

If you would like to help, please become a supporter, monetarily if you can. A little over 90% of your donation will reach the school; the rest goes to Fundly.
