The Mission-

My name is Jason. I make candy for a cause.

It's an odd thing to say and it's been road getting here. First, I've got a passion for kids that from having three kids of my own and having the privilege of helping raise two foster kids.

When my wife and I were young, our youngest daughter became very sick. One day without warning she spiked a high fever so we took her to our family pediatrician. My wife noticed that her knee was strangely warmer than the rest of her body. Neither of us understood what was happening, but her Doctor explained that she attention quickly as her knee had become infected and she was in danger. We drove through the night to Dallas Children's Medical Center where she spent the next few weeks battling the infection and having three surgeries to try to clean the joint. She was only two at the time, and we were both young ourselves.

I was new at work, and didn't have insurance - I wasn't yet eligible - and my wife's job didn't offer insurance at all.  The hospital staff did what they could to find programs for us to help pay the bills but there was no way to cover the entire cost, and soon after my little girl came home the bills began to pile up.

The kind of stress that comes with a sick child is awful. The feeling of helplessness and dread can be overwhelming -its enough to deal with without having to wonder, "How will we pay for all of this?"

If I can, I'd like to help keep this from happening to as many parents as possible. We will work with hospitals and other charities to identify those families in need and help restore their financial lives so that they spend more time helping their child recover and less time worrying about the bills they cant pay.We will help these families with groceries, food, fuel for their cars and as much of their outstanding medical bills as we can pay.

Many young parents live paycheck to paycheck -and no health insurance covers everything. The burden of 20% of a $100,000+ medical bill is daunting enough without having to replace lost income from time missed at work.

You can help while actually getting something really great for your money in return -and you can be sure that the money is going somewhere its needed.

We're building a candy company that gives 100% of its gross profits to needy families. This initial $75,000 will cover our operating costs for the next two years. That includes facilities costs, manufacturing raw ingredients. That money will be turned into a stable, viable non-profit that will help Kansas families for decades to come. That's a heck of a return!

You need to trust us -we will show you exactly what we're doing and when we're doing it.Our daily book will be posted online for everyone to see. Our taxes and our policies will be posted for public scrutiny. We will post stories of the folks we help and the agencies who helped us. We pledge 100% transparency at all times.

The Candy-

Of course, you'll get great candy! I make the best candy you'll ever eat, I promise you that. Free of preservatives, made with innovative ingredients and exciting flavors you won't find anywhere else.

Old fashioned marshmallows, divinity, candy canes, taffy in hundreds of flavors, image candies, gummies... the list goes on and on. All of our candy is hand pulled and made with the utmost respect for the history and tradition.... you gotta try this stuff!

Thanks so much for your time and support,
