Going in for surgery this Friday at Kaiser hospital on Morse ave in Sacramento. Going to have a full hysterectomy with debulking surgery as well. If anyone wants to visit it would be much appreciated. I should be in the hospital for about a week.

saw the gynocologic oncologist and apparently there is something on my liver. A PET scan is now needed to determine if the cancer has metastasized. Meeting with the Medical Oncologist to discuss chemotherapy/surgery options this friday.

Found out today from my neurologist that I have a pineal cyst. Most likely benign but stilll. What else can god possibly throw at me???

Second chemo treatment tomorrow. Today was spent at the hospital getting tests done, supporting other friends in chemo, in my oncologists office and going to support groups.

Had two seizures this past Sunday and have been recuperating. Thank you everyone for the support - emotional, financial, prayer....it is all appreciated!

Saw the Medical Oncologist today and the PET scan showed no sign of cancer in the liver!! THANKFULLY!!! Lymph nodes look suspicious however but we will keep an eye on it. Chemo starts in a little over the week. Will be having a carboplatin/taxol cocktail paired with intraperitoneal chemo post-op.

Going out to dinner with a childhood friend I haven't seen in a few years. That's the one good thing about cancer - it has the tendency to bring old friends back together.

About Sarena Perez Cancer Fund
On Christmas Eve of this year, Sarena Perez was wheeled into the ER with severe stomach pains. The doctors at first though it was diverticulitis. After many tests however the graver news was revealed : She had stage III ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cancer is known as the "silent killer" because most often it is not discovered until it is too late. It is usually diagnosed in women in their 60's. Sarena is only 32. Right now, the oncologists say she has a 50/50 chance of survival. There is a lot of work ahead, but there is the possibility she can beat this. Already after a 3 day hospital stay she is in debt by over $4,000. There are many more doctors visits, chemotherapy treatments, hospitals stays, and surgeries to be had. Right now, Sarena is unable to work due to her treatments and has no income. If you are able to donate, all proceeds will be going towards paying for the treatment and expenses of ovarian cancer.
