NORTHERN IRELAND missions project August 3-11 2014 | Rostrevor, Northern Ireland ! A great partnership That’s where we come in !! Way of Life is partnering with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) Ireland based in Rostrevor, Northern Ireland. ! Check them out here: www.ywamrostrevor.org Our team will be serving YWAM Ireland through service projects in the town of Rostrevor as well as in the city of Belfast. Painting, cleaning, building and renovating are just a few ways we will get our hands dirty to show the love of Christ. We’ll also help by hosting open mic nights, kids activities, fairs and other ways to engage the community.
A diverse team This missional organization is reaching thousands of people for Jesus all across Ireland through service projects, events, reconciliation ministry and prayer. YWAM Ireland has a strong presence in several cities and towns across the country and partner directly with local churches and other organizations to share the love of Christ. YWAM creates environments like concerts, coffee houses, fairs, camps and more - all in an effort to connect with those who are far from God. This ministry is truly living out the Gospel of Jesus in everyday life. ! ! We’re hoping to have a diverse team of artists, musicians, construction tradesmen/women, people who can smile and people who can serve! There are many ways we can serve depending on our team. keep reading >>>It’s NOT the Ireland you’re thinking of !When most think of Ireland they think of lush green rolling hills with fluffy sheep dotting the landscape and pictures of ancient ruins of castles and four leaf clovers.
But there’s more to Ireland than that. While Ireland is an inspiring and beautiful land, it’s also a struggling and dark place. Ireland is post-Christian, meaning that most do not consider Christianity to be a life worth living. The concept of Jesus desiring a relationship with us is foreign to many. Racial and cultural tensions are extremely high between Catholics and Protestants. Alcohol and drug abuse among students is staggering and in the cities of Belfast and Dublin, child homelessness is widespread.
YWAM Ireland has been on the ground sharing the love and grace of God for years. One major aspect for YWAM is to help bring lasting peace and reconciliation between Catholics and Protestants. Through acts of service and environments that foster community, YWAM is helping people to see Jesus in new ways...
