Within the last 2 years my mom beat breast and kidney cancer, her hair is starting to grow back and she's able to play with her grandson. After an emergency room visit we just found out she has cancer in her colon too.

I want to start by saying thank you! We had a great start to the fundraiser for my mom and the support and donations are greatly appreciated. The funds that were received at the beginning have been used to help her during this time. We are still waiting to see how much insurance will cover and then go from there. Due to her only having to have 1 surgery instead of multiple we decreased the fundraiser goal by half but the $15,000 will be needed. She has been off work for a month and racking up bills at the same time.
I have upped the end date of the fundraiser as well to October.

My mom will be 59 this year. She has 3 kids, 2 of which have kids of their own and the other just left for basic training for the army on August 13th.
I am the only girl and was told i couldn't have kids so when i found out that i was pregnant last year it was the best day ever until i called my mom to share the news and she had news of her own. She told me that she was just diagnosed with breast cancer. We started 2 different paths at the same time. Within 3 months we then found out that she had kidney cancer as well.
Guess what!? She beat both!
After 2 years and beating both cancers and having her hair start to grow back. Getting back to work and having the energy to be with her grandson we found out today, 08/20/2019 that my mom has cancer in her colon. We are not yet sure if it's colon cancer or the breast cancer spread. Praying that it didn't spread.
My mom doesn't have some glorious job or own a house or have any savings left after the last go around. She has the bare necessities, and we are needing help with funding so she doesn't stress herself out even more. She needs to be able to focus on fighting and beating this cancer too.
My mom isn't your regular mom, she has been through so much and is still the kindest woman who would be on empty in the car and still give you her last dollar. She volunteers with pet rescues and she's the first one to bring a bowl of soup or come do your dishes when you're sick or hurt.
Can we see if we can show her the same kindness? Even $1.00 a person will help more than you know.

We had an update from the doctor today and they double checked and all of the cancer was removed during her surgery. No chemo or radiation this time, thankfully! Continued CT Scans and blood work to keep monitoring.
She is off work until she goes back to the doctor for her follow up in 2 weeks and then they will say if/when she can return. We have not yet heard back from her insurance but we are lowering the goal amount. We still need to pay what insurance doesn't cover and her time off work.

Great news!!!
Mom had her surgery yesterday and they removed a foot worth of colon cancer from her lower intestine and colon, not breast cancer that spread! THANK GOD!! They believe they got ALL of the cancer out. They sent some lymph-nodes off to be biopsied as well.
She should be able to go home Friday or Saturday depending on how well she is doing on her own. She is working on eating solid foods today and the doctors are monitoring everything but so far so good!

1 of a few things will happen
Remove the cancer mass from her colon
Have to close her back up and do chemo again then another surgery
Or Have to remove the colon.
We won't know if the other cancers spread or if it's colon cancer, meaning she has 3 different cancers within 2 years but that's better than spreading.
The doctors did say that it's also in her small intestine and appears to have been in her colon for awhile, possibly even before the other cancers but it appeared to be scar tissue.
