About Me

This is the second annual Fight Gone Bad for me. For CrossFitters around the world, FGB is a day to come together and honor a worthy cause. For 17 minutes of a grueling workout, they will push themselves further, challenge themselves deeper, feel the doubt and wonder if they can make it, but then remember why they are there and appreciate fully why they're doing it.

About Us

For several years, CrossFit HQ has hosted the Fight Gone Bad WOD Fundraiser in the end of September, benefiting different charities from Prostate Cancer to the Wounded Warrior Project to a variety of kid programs.  This event has always been a highlight in the CrossFit community, so we were sad to hear that Headquarters would no longer be leading a FGB WOD Fundraiser.  Then we thought - why not just run an independent fundraiser ourselves?  So, without missing a beat, on Saturday, September 22nd we are excited to be hosting a FGB to raise funds to support for Rubicon Programs.

Here is what you need to know

The Charity - Rubicon Programs

Think about what makes your experience here at United Barbell a rewarding one.  What sets United Barbell apart from other CrossFits, and especially from other gyms, is our community.  It is the support each person gets from coaches and classmates alike that push us to our next level.  Now, imagine a life without not only that kind of support system or any at all.  That is the position of the clients of Rubicon Programs.  For nearly 40 years, Rubicon has been there for people facing life’s biggest challenges like the struggle for financial independence or recovery from mental illness. The organization serves more than 3,000 low-income men and women each year with personalized job placement, job readiness, housing, legal, and mental health support. Rubicon gives their clients the tools to change when they are ready to change and overcome substance abuse, a criminal record, homelessness. For more information on Rubicon Programs, click here.
