About Me

Baby and I feel strongly that a good public education should be a right for all children including Oakland residents like us. Urban Montessori Charter School is thinking out of the box about public education and will be providing a creative and supportive learning environment for Jif and 251 other students this fall in their opening school year. Your donation will go directly to classroom supplies, furniture, and Montessori materials for Jif and his new classmates. Please support us in giving Jif and all students at UMCS the best education possible in these financially trying times. Thank you! -Jamie

Open the Doors at Urban Montessori

The first day of school is August 27th and we must ensure that we are ready to welcome the 252 children and families who are excited to join and build the Urban Montessori community.  State funds barely cover staffing a school with teachers, and with additional costs to provide Montessori specific materials, we need your help to fund our start-up costs. 

Help Us Raise $50,000

Our goal is to raise $50,000 by August 1. Funds raised will pay for Montessori materials, classroom furniture, classroom libraries, and materials for art, design and music projects.
