My In-Laws lost their cars, suffered over $ 150,000 worth of damage to their home, plus most of their belongings. They are without a living space right now. Insurance will hopefully cover the repairs and some temporary living costs. It will not cover the lost furniture and appliances. Not to mention all the things we gather that give us comfort and make our home. 

The situation in Oceanside is bleak, the power is out, there is no hot water, the water is currently unsafe, there are no street lights, and people are looting. The few family members whose homes did not suffer greatly, are overcrowded by those with kids and pets who lost theirs. 

On top of this it has started snowing. Their environment has been described as 3rd World Countryish, or a war zone. The military is there, FEMA and the Red Cross. It is dark by 4 or 5, and the sounds of sirens and helicopters take over.

So many people have asked how they can help. I want to gather funds to give to the Parks. I know they will have a hard time accepting it, but it is needed. 

Beside this fundraiser, we will be gathering gift cards to Home Depot & Target to send to St.Anthony's Parish in Oceanside to distribute to those that need it most. 

Either way you would like to contribute is great. Giving to the Parks can be done here, and the gift cards for St.Anthony's can be mailed to me.
