Island Park is a small town located in Nassau County, New York and has been my home since I was born. It has been destroyed from the relentless Hurricane Sandy storm wrecking thousands of homes and demolishing the entire community. Please help me and all my fellow friends and family get the town back in order. Island Park has supported me throughout my whole career and helped me get to where I am today playing pro hockey. It is time I get them the help they need while they fight for their lives and let's try to make the best of the tough times.

The following are some examples of casualties Island Park is faced with:
- Extreme flooding
- Homes filled with flooded water
- Trees and debris all over the streets and damaging homes
- No power
- Fires spreading from power lines falling and igniting trees
- Water is shut off
- Contamination
- Cell phone towers down
- Island Park Fire Department destroyed
- Roads are blocked off
- Cars floating away
- Residents left stranded
Any help would be greatly appericated. The whole town needs your help in a time of natural disaster. The amount of damage could cause people's life to change drastically, and we can't wait for insurance compaines to help. Donate now to make a difference in the lives of those that need it the most during this horrible disaster created by Hurricane Sandy.
All donations will be used towards community needs for the Island Park residents, rebuilding of the Island Park firehouse, Island Park School District and used towards all other emergency relief efforts.
